About Zandele
Zandele Art Market first took place four years ago as an event designed to bring art closer to society and showcase pieces from the Zuzāns Collection. Established in the early 1990s, the collection has evolved alongside the opening of Zuzeum Art Centre, expanding its exhibiting opportunities and international presence, including a growing foreign art branch.
As the collection grows, it is periodically reviewed to refine its focus, set new goals, and ensure its place in the global art context. Like society itself, art transforms over time, influenced by shifting tastes and visions. In keeping with this evolution, part of the collection is offered for sale, which helps focus its direction while finding new homes for works and securing funding for future projects. Proceeds from Zandele support Zuzeum mission to develop exhibitions and research the Zuzāns Collection.
In 2023, Zandele grew into a dynamic platform for galleries, artists, curators, and art lovers to connect, share ideas, and showcase works. It quickly became popular within the Latvian art community, providing a space for both emerging and established artists to connect with collectors and the public.
This year, Zandele enters the next stage by launching its online platform, offering a convenient digital platform for art lovers worldwide to browse and purchase artworks. The online space makes Latvian art more accessible globally and offers a seamless shopping experience, allowing collectors to discover unique works anytime and anywhere.
This online platform broadens Zandele reach, offering a carefully curated selection of artworks from Latvian artists, ranging from paintings and graphics to posters, porcelain, and decorative arts. Whether you're an experienced collector or a first-time buyer, Zandele makes it easy to engage with and support Latvian art.
Explore the Zandele online platform to discover the perfect artwork for you while supporting Latvian cultural growth! Proceeds from the platform go towards developing new exhibition projects at Zuzeum Art Centre and researching the Zuzāns Collection.
