Posters
The selection of posters is based on the most important period of Latvian poster art, the 1970s - 1980s, when the poster was no longer seen as a tool for providing information, but as a work of graphic design art. The posters are distinguished by their strong ambiguity, emotional tension in their content, as well as by their socially responsible messages. It is no wonder that this period in poster art is one of the 99 particularly significant Latvian cultural history values included in the Latvia's Cultural Canon.
